Martin Luther King Jr was born on 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. Martin Luther King Jr was a civil rights movement. One day he said something to himself, he said that I am ready to die and give up his life for the rights for African Amercians. He was also a young pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church and he would tell them we still have hope and say that God is with us. Martin Luther King Jr became a civil rights movement leader and he had many speeches through out the USA. After his last speech in 1968 he was assassinated in a hotel.
Martin Luther King Jr was in the civil rights movement act during mid 1950 until his death. One of his most famous speech was the "I have a dream" speech. He lead the "I have a dream" speech and there were 200,000 people white and blacks. He was inspired by Mahatama Gandhi. So because of the "I have a dream" speech he earned the Nobel piece prize at the age of 35 and he was the youngest person whoever gotten a Nobel piece prize. As years went by from 1964-1967 his civil rights movement people started to increase and they became stronger.
I could apply this to my life as well when I'm going through hard times or when your being bullied with racism you should step up and say that its wrong or tell the teachers. Also when I am tired of doing work or homework I would think of how much pain Martin Luther King Jr and all the African Americans went through and Its nothing compared to not wanting to do homework or being tired. I like his style of leading the civil rights movement act because Martin Luther King Jr wanted peace with no violence but Malcolm X wanted peace with violence.
