Standard: 5e. I know how to determine whether a solution is acidic, basic, or neutral.
1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
This assignment meets the standard because the standard is to determine whether if a fluid is acidic, basic, or neutral and in this assignment I had to decide if the liquid was acidic or basic. The assignment demonstrates that I understand.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 Science & Engineering Practices you feel you met/gained from completing this project.
I think that I have learned to tell what fluid/liquid is acidic, basic, or neutral. I can tell by touching the fluid and testing on red litmus paper and also blue litmus paper.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is ONE SEP/or area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this SEP/area benefit future work/projects?
I could have done better by trying to not make a source of error in my lab. Improving this in the future projects/labs I will be able to get the right solution to the problem and also this will help me get a better grade.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real-world, outside of the classroom? Make connections between the content and your life
The skills that I learned from this assignments can be used in other labs when finding out how acidic and how basic a certain fluid is and scale it on the ph scale. Also If I become a scientist and I'm studying a certain liquid I can use these skills to check the ph level.
